Internet Radio – The Future of Radio Listening

Listening to the radio via the Internet is revolutionising the way in which many us access radio broadcasts – this approach basically uses the Internet as the connection to radio as opposed to radio waves.

One of main advantages of Internet Radio over the more traditional “radio wave” approach is that it becomes possible to listen to radio stations based anywhere around the world – this is obviously not feasible with standard radio devices.

Internet radios can be also be automatically updated with radios stations that you can listen to and can helpfully categorise them in a number of ways to make browsing them much easier.

This also makes finding new stations that you’re interested in listening to much more accessible and easy.

To listen to Internet Radio you’ll essentially need a broadband connection, a modem (either an ADSL or cable modem), and a router.
