Pause, Rewind and Record Live DAB Radio

DAB digital technology provides a number of advantages over older radio technology – one of these is the ability to pause, rewind, or record live radio onto either memory built into the radio device itself, or by recording onto an SD card.

The ability to pause live radio is very handy indeed – it enables you pause a particular program you are listening to, go away and deal with something else, and then come back and continue listening to the program where you left off.

Some DAB digital radios with pause, rewind and record capabilities allow you to start recording straight away through the use of a button, or some will record in a way that you’ve programmed (similar to how you program a video recorder).

If you use a memory card for recorded live radio, this enables you to insert the card into a DAB radio (or perhaps a portable player) and listen to the content you’ve recorded at a more convenient time for you.

It is important to note that not all DAB digital radios have the ability to pause, rewind and record DAB radio – also, the extent to which radios can record radio broadcasts can change from system to system.

Make sure that you always check the specification of the product first to ensure that it will provide the type of functionality that you are after.
